The UW and UX Series are Shimadzu’s highest performance platform balances. Due to the inclusion of Shimadzu’s fast response, high-stability UniBloc technology, the UW and UX Series achieves a minimum display accuracy of 1 mg for capacities up to 1.02 kg.


Data Management with GLP, GMP and ISO Calibration Reporting

By attaching an optional printer, a calibration report, including date, time, serial number, and ID, can be automatically printed to meet GLP, GMP and ISO requirements.

Choice of Automatic Calibrations

The UW models include touch-key, temperature change, and clock calibrations. The touch-key calibration can be performed at any time by simply pressing two keys. When variations in ambient temperature are detected, the temperature change calibration function automatically compensates. Using the clock calibration, balance calibrations can be scheduled automatically, up to three times a day.

Specific Gravity Measurement and Animal Weighing

Attaching an optional SMK-101 or SMK-102 specific gravity measurement kit allows the UW and UX Series to be used as a density meter or a hydrometer. Animal weighing can be performed by adding an animal weighing set, and the UW and UX Series built-in animal weighing mode is designed to enable the quick and stable measurement of moving animals.
