System GC for Hydrocarbon Based Refrigerants Analysis
The use of new refrigerants with the highest cooling efficacy while presenting the lowest environmental impact is increasing to protect the atmosphere. Hydrofluorocarbons have been traditionally used as refrigerants in the refrigerator industry due to their high efficacy as a coolant and low impact on stratospheric ozone. However, the high environmental impact as greenhouse gases has caused these compounds to be replaced by hydrocarbons. This analysis is based upon the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Standard 700.
Turnkey systems are available on the GC-2014 platform with TCD and FID integration. The TCD provides analysis of the fixed gases. The FID provides detection of the hydrocarbon components.
In addition to our full line of System GC Applications, Shimadzu can custom create a GC to meet your application needs. This request form works best in internet explorer.
