New core lab, sponsored by Shimadzu, enhances physical sciences and engineering research at the University of Kansas
The University of Kansas has launched the Materials Characterization & Testing Lab, equipped with 11 advanced instruments from Shimadzu, secured via the Shimadzu Partnership for Academics, Research, and Quality of Life (SPARQ) program. This state-of-the-art core facility is designed to advance physical sciences and engineering research by enabling detailed analysis of materials used in areas such as next-generation batteries, nanotechnology, infrastructure, and drug delivery. The interdisciplinary facility supports KU’s research and teaching missions and positions KU as a leading institution in materials science and innovation.
