ePrep and Shimadzu Scientific Instruments Announce Strategic North American Partnership to Advance Integrated Analytical Workflows
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments (SSI), a leading provider of analytical instrumentation in the United States and Canada, and ePrep, a leader in automated sample preparation for analytical laboratories, have announced a strategic North American partnership.
The partnership brings together SSI’s advanced chromatography and mass spectrometry platforms with ePrep’s upstream automated sample preparation technology, enabling laboratories to adopt fully integrated, end-to-end analytical workflows. As part of this partnership, SSI will offer the ePrep ONE platform across North America, aligned with its broader workflow solutions strategy.
This partnership reflects a shared vision to move beyond standalone instrumentation toward workflow-centric solutions that improve data quality, reproducibility, and operational efficiency in modern laboratories.

The ePrep ONE platform automates critical sample preparation processes—including extraction, filtration, dilution, and derivatisation—within a single configurable robotic system. Designed for regulated environments, the platform supports compliance with standards such as 21 CFR Part 11, helping laboratories enhance auditability and consistency while reducing reliance on manual processes.

Beyond commercial alignment, the partnership is expected to support joint application development, workflow validation, and customer engagement, reinforcing a shared commitment to delivering practical, validated solutions that meet the evolving needs of analytical laboratories.
