Summary

Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC), a chromatographic technique using a supercritical CO2 mobile phase, has been known for decades but was seldom used due to the popularity of normal and reverse phase liquid chromatography. Several years ago, SFC found a niche in chiral resolution when it was found that the physical characteristics of supercritical fluids can offer unique separations when compared to traditional liquid chromatography methods. Since then, these unique separations and “greener” aspect of CO2 have sparked new interest broadening SFC applications. Shimadzu, the leader in innovative SFC instrumentation, offers an array of analytical and preparative SFC systems that allow researchers easily access this growing technology. In this webinar, we’ll look at how Shimadzu’s SFC instruments and how our unique features are currently used in a variety of cutting edge applications for small and large molecules.
