  • Leak - low pressure valve
Rotor and stator seal and worn Replace the rotor and stator as necessary.
  • Leak - high pressure valve
Rotor and stator seal and worn  Replace the rotor, inspect and replace the stator as necessary.
  • Leak - flow line
Connections are loose or faulty Tighten or replace the male nuts and ferrules of the flow line connections.
  • Excessive pressure fluctuation with movement of the high-pressure valve
The flow rate of the mobile phase is too high Replace the SIL outlet tubing with 0.25 mm ID PEEK tubing.
  • Excessive pressure fluctuation with movement of the high-pressure valve
Incorrect high-pressure valve position - NO HPV HOME displayed Contact your Shimadzu representative.

High-pressure valve blockage Disassemble and clean the high-pressure valve. Replace the rotor and stator as necessary.

Flow line blockage Clean or replace any blocked flow lines. Remove the blockage with reverse cleaning of the flow lines.
  • Excessive column inlet pressure
Flow line blockage Clean or replace any blocked flow lines. Remove the blockage with reverse cleaning of the flow lines.
  • Excessive column inlet pressure
Column blockage Replace the column.
  • Power will not turn ON
Power supply specifications have not been set Use a power supply that meets the instrument specifications.
  • Power will not turn ON
Power cable is unplugged Properly connect the power cable to the power supply.
  • Power will not turn ON
Power cable is cut or broken Replace the power cable with a new one.
  • Power will not turn ON
Fuse is blown  Replace the fuses. If fuses blow out frequently, contact your Shimadzu representative.
