Start up: To start up your instrument, power it on using the power switch/button on the instrument, and then open the operating software. Once connected to the software, the instrument will begin the initialization procedure (less than one minute to a few minutes depending on the instrument). Once completed, it will be ready to operate.

Shut down: If the instrument (UV-Vis, FTIR and Fluorescence) is not going to be used for an extended period, please, close the software and turn off the power switch. This will help in preserving the life of their lamps.
