Setting up PFAS Analysis with a Delay Column using Shimadzu LCMS
Shimadzu offers the PFAS method package that contains method files with optimized LCMS parameters for the PFAS listed in EPA methods. PFAS frequently contaminate LC systems through the fluorinated piping; therefore, a "delay column" is installed upstream of the autosampler to reduce system PFAS from interfering with analyses. Laboratories using the PFAS method package and delay columns from Shimadzu can bypass time-consuming method optimization and smoothly start PFAS analyses.
