The LCMS-2050 single quadrupole mass spectrometer combines the user friendliness of an LC detector with the performance of MS to provide a complete, streamlined, cost-efficient analytical solution.

The system enables enhanced detection in a short period of time because the ionization source combines heated electrospray (HESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI). This combined dual ion source (DUIS) can analyze a wide range of compounds from multiple chemical classes.

    The standard ionization source of the LCMS-2050 is a heated dual ion source that combines an electrospray ionization nozzle and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization corona needle. This design makes it possible for you to detect both high and low polarity molecules in a single run and to simultaneously analyze compounds with a wide range of characteristics.

    With its small size and single-phase 100 to 240 V specifications, the LCMS-2050 achieves a 43% energy savings compared to the previous model. The Ecology Mode function automatically turns off the unit if you haven’t used it for a set time. The LCMS-2050 is also recognized as an Eco Product Plus under Shimadzu’s proprietary environmentally friendly product recognition system because it limits running costs and CO2 emissions.
