Drill Chuck Grips

Drill Chuck Grips

Shimadzu’s Drill Chuck Grips are ideal for testing metal rods, wires, and electronic components that are otherwise difficult to secure in traditional grips. The mechanism works the same as a traditional drill chuck and holds samples securely and centered.

Shimadzu’s Drill Chuck Grips are available in flat and rod types with capacities ranging from 1 kN to 100 kN. Grip sets include upper grips, lower grips and a chuck key.

Relevant Materials

Metals, Rigid Plastics, Electronic Components

Relevant Specimens

Plates, Rods, Wires

Operation

Open the chuck by spinning the sleeve counterclockwise until the sample fits between the jaws. Hand tighten the sleeve until the sample is secured. Tighten the chuck into place using the included chuck key to firmly clamp the sample into place. Repeat this process for the opposing grip.
