The USEPA regulates Drinking Water according to the Safe Drinking Water Act, and various state rules and regulations. Samples are analyzed to ensure contaminants are below a Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) or Health Advisory (HA). Below are examples of various substances regulated, or analyzed, in drinking water.
